The clinic serves the Popoyo Surf Zone from Popoyo Surf Resort in the north to Hacienda Iguana in the south. The surf camps, vacation rental operators and stores benefit from and support the bracelet program. The Roberto Clemente – Santa Ana Clinic

The clinic offers 24-hour services, seven days a week. Dr. Flores and the clinic serve over 10,000 patients each year. The majority of the patients are Nicaraguans of all ages, but visiting tourists, construction workers and surfers are regularly treated for cuts, broken bones and a host of minor ailments.

The clinic and the community need your help

The clinic’s needs are rapidly outpacing existing fund raising, staff and facilities. In many cases, there are no medical alternatives available. Popoyo Surf Zone surfers have banded together to raise additional funds for an ambulance, a new building with a lab and trauma care center and several new community education programs. We cannot do it without your help.
