Top 10 Needs At The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic

Urgent request for funds for regular operation of  programs and projects. This is a vital and top-priority need given the current socio-economical crisis in Nicaragua.

Funding to expand our food security program for the community.

Funding to maintain our new ambulance and the van to transport patients and reach distant communities. The monthly operational cost of the ambulance is $1,550 – including the driver’s salary.

Funding to expand our Healthy Eating Initiative, so we can teach more families healthy nutrition and organic agriculture as a source of micro family project.

Funds to implement a module for children and adults who need isolation for prevention of transmitted diseases.

Renovation and maintenance of the Clinic’s existing structure. Renovations are necessary to maintain the safety and comfort of our patients and staff.

Medical equipment and surgical supplies, medications, and specific foods for kids with special needs.

EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software to efficiently maintain patient records. Once implemented, we will be the first clinic in Nicaragua to use this system.

Volunteers like you! Our volunteers are critical to our success. We are constantly in need of medical professionals including general doctors, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and others, as well as individuals from all backgrounds to support our outreach programs and assist our staff in their everyday operations. Please see our Volunteer Program page for more information.

Funding for our Expansion Project.  Approximately $100,000 to fully equip the new facilities. We are actively seeking equipment donations for a complete surgical room, obstetric room, portable x-ray equipment, along with equipment and monitors for observation.
